So why a coach?

It is easy to identify what it is we don’t like or don’t want.
Sullivan, like many of us, has had a realization that she is living the “wrong life.”  That is, a life that is lacking meaning or purpose.  She knows that she has gone off the path, or down the wrong road, or has in some way, shape, or form hit a dead-end.
Over-whelmed by what seems like too many choices, or none at all, she is paralyzed by her thoughts and stalls out.

It is challenging to discover, realize and make real what it is that we love.
Every human being is telling a story with their life about what they value – consciously or unconsciously. Coaching is about improving your ability to write your own story, recognize what feels purposeful and make daily decisions that are consistent with that purpose and intent.

It’s a bumpy road.
The road to self-discovery can be long and bumpy.  Sometimes we arrive at our destination only to discover it was a way station.  It is helpful to have a sounding board and an artful guide to help you re-discover your way.  The value a coach adds is not in the answers but in the questions he/she asks.  It is the questions that will allow you to see the way to the life you know and sense within you but have no idea how to get to on your own.

What can I expect from my investment of time, energy and money in coaching?
Expect to:

  1. Know what you are feeling and how that translates to a guidance system for decisions.
  2. Know what you are knowing and how that translates to the confidence to make changes.
  3. Be able to say what you mean and be heard the way you mean to be heard.
  4. Have a deep and sustainable connection to that part of yourself that is essential to your well-being.

If your bag is packed with these tools you will be well prepared to travel the road of life, making choices along the way that keep you heading in the direction of a life that is uniquely yours, immensely satisfying, and lived every day to it’s fullest potential.
